Conservation issues can and should be an important part of the ARAV's stewardship of amphibians and reptiles. As such, it is important to cover the significant threat facing extant Asian chelonian species; and the role that ARAV members portrayed in the recent confiscation of a large shipment of Asian chelonians destined for the food market. The format of this roundtable differs from previous roundtables in that the participants only responded to questions assigned specifically to them.
