Chelonian herpesvirus is responsible for significant morbidity and mortality in tortoises around the globe. Both in Europe and the United States work has been done to develop useful antemortem diagnostics, and hopefully with greater availability to these tests we will be able to minimize the impact of herpesvirus in chelonians. This panel consists of an international group that has vast experience working both clinically and experimentally with chelonian herpesvirus.
