Captive green iguanas, Iguana iguana, very commonly present with renal disease. Unfortunately, these lizards do not often present until they are in the advanced stages of disease. Hopefully, as we learn more about the causes of renal failure, we will be better able to prevent and treat this disease. Educating our clients with the most up to date information is also important. This panel was composed to provide current information to the readership.
