Reptilian uroliths have been described in the literature and appear to be a relatively common finding in the clinical herpetological medicine. Despite the fairly common encounter, a significant gap exists between the information available on mammalian uroliths and reptilian uroliths. This paper introduces the different laboratory techniques used to analyze a urolith and discusses the use of these methods in particular regard to the analysis of reptilian uroliths. Particular interest is paid to the analyzing techniques, which reveal information on the microanatomy of the urolith. [Abstract]
