Two diagnostically challenging cases of pseudocarcinomatous biliary hyperplasia in two female green iguanas are reviewed and important differential diagnoses discussed. This disease has not been previously reported in any species of reptile but is commonly diagnosed in other species. These two cases highlight the importance of being aware of the challenges presented in diagnosing carcinomas of hepatobiliary tissue in iguanas and the impact this may have on patient treatment and prognosis.
