It is our hope that members will find this information to be useful in clinical practice. The first topic is ophidian paramyxovirus. Ophidian paramyxovirus was first isolated in 1973 as the cause of a respiratory epizootic in a collection of far-de-lance, Bothrops atrox, at a serpentarium in Switzerland. Since that time, paramyxovirus has become recognized as an important pathogen, especially in viperids. |
