- The inland bearded dragon, Pogona vitticeps, native to inland Australia, is a diurnal, oviparous, omnivorous, agamid lizard. Due to its placid nature and relative hardiness, it is rapidly becoming popular in captive collections. Despite this popularity, very little hematological data has been gathered for this species. The purpose of this study was to determine normal hematological and plasma chemistry values for a captive population of P. vitticeps.
